One Piece Episode 1153 doesn’t slowly build tension — it explodes. Egghead, which was moments away from turning into another battlefield, suddenly becomes the stage for something far bigger than a fight. Joy Boy’s Supreme King Haki is unleashed, shaking the sky and ripping through the sea itself, as Marines drop instantly and the Five Elders are forced into retreat. And then comes the moment no one expected — Imu Sama, the ruler of the world, is pushed to their knees, proving that a will from the past can still dominate the present.
As the episode unfolds, we witness a touching flashback between Joy Boy and Emeth, revealing the origin of the sealed Haki, while darker futures begin to take shape. Caribou’s dangerous knowledge of the Ancient Weapons moves closer to Blackbeard, setting the stage for an inevitable clash. Episode 1153 doesn’t just deliver spectacle — it connects the past, present, and future into one clear message: the fate of the world now rests with whoever claims the One Piece.
Joy Boy’s Supreme King Haki – A Power Beyond Time

Just as Nusjuro and the other Gorosei were about to attack the Thousand Sunny, Zoro was already ready to face Nusjuro once again, prepared for another all-out clash. But before the battle could begin, the ancient giant Robot Emeth turns to Luffy and asks a simple question — “What is your name?”
Luffy, without fear, without hesitation, replies:
“I’m Monkey D. Luffy.” Hearing the name — especially the “D.” — Emeth smiles, visibly moved, and speaks his final words: “Don’t die… I won’t let you die.” In that moment, Emeth unties the knot and releases Joy Boy’s Supreme King Haki, a will so overwhelming that it violently repels the Five Elders back to Mary Geoise, forces Imu Sama to their knees, and knocks out every Marine present — even the Vice Admirals.
The sheer power shocks even Luffy, the Sun God Nika, who has witnessed Shanks’ Conqueror’s Haki before, yet realizes this is on an entirely different level. The Haki splits the sky and the sea at the same time, leaving fans screaming :
“YES — YOU NAILED IT, TOEI!”
After 800 years, Joy Boy’s will is still powerful enough to dominate the world, hinting at a darker side of Gear 5 — especially as Luffy’s eyes briefly resemble the mysterious mark on Boa Hancock’s back. Whatever this symbol means, one thing is clear: even across centuries, Joy Boy still rules through his will.
Vegapunk’s Last Message – The Truth the World Government Fears

Vegapunk’s global broadcast continues to echo across the world, even as it becomes clear that the transmission is nearing its end. With calm certainty, Vegapunk suggests that perhaps Pirate King Gol D. Roger had already set everything in motion, that the world reaching this point was never an accident.
When he declares that the world now lies in the hands of pirates, the seas erupt in excitement — pirates everywhere welcome the message, almost celebrating it. We’re then shown Shanks drinking heavily and the Dark King Rayleigh alongside him, both wearing expressions that suggest they already know what’s happening — as if this chaos, this turning point, was part of a long-prepared setup.
But Vegapunk’s final words send shockwaves through everyone listening: the future of the world will belong to the one who obtains and claims the One Piece. As those words land, the episode cuts through powerful reaction panels — Buggy, Blackbeard, Luffy, Shanks, Koby, Dragon, Akainu, and Sabo — each realizing the same truth at the same time. This wasn’t just a message… it was a declaration of the final era.
Imu’s Screams & The Five Elders’ Forced Retreat

The moment Emeth releases Joy Boy’s Haki, the entire Egghead Island begins to shake — not just the sky, but even the sea starts cracking under the pressure. We have seen some of the strongest Conqueror’s Haki in One Piece before, with Shanks standing at the top, but Joy Boy’s Haki feels completely different, on an entirely higher level — something even Brogy and Dorry had hinted at before, openly implying that Joy Boy’s Haki is Stronger than Shanks.
Every Marine on the island is instantly knocked unconscious, and the power is so overwhelming that the Five Elders are forced out of their transformed states. The abyss pentagrams that teleported them to Egghead ripple violently and send them back to Mary Geoise, almost erasing their presence from the battlefield.
In a strangely ironic moment, Luffy had already sent Mars back earlier, as if he was simply waiting for the rest to follow. Most importantly, the ruler of the world himself — Imu Sama — begins to tremble, collapsing to his knees under Joy Boy’s will alone.
Watching this scene, One Piece fans everywhere couldn’t help but feel satisfied, realizing that Joy Boy never needed an army or a battle — his Haki alone was enough to make the world’s so-called gods kneel, proving why he remains a true legend even after centuries.
Joy Boy & Emeth – A Charming Yet Heartbreaking Flashback

Finally, in Episode 1153, we get a small but unforgettable conversation between Joy Boy and Emeth. After Joy Boy’s Haki sends the Gorosei members back to Mary Geoise, Emeth recalls his last moments with Joy Boy in a heartfelt flashback.
The scene is utterly charming, and you can truly feel Emeth’s happiness at talking with Joy Boy. The music elevates every second, making the moment even more emotional. Joy Boy tells Emeth, “You will live longer than I will… I am sealing my strongest Haki inside you, so that when your life is in danger and you want to protect someone, you can untie the knot and release it at the right time.”
This nostalgic and touching exchange left fans emotional, some even in tears — imagine crying for a giant robot! This is the kind of magic only ODA-sama can deliver, a scene so simple yet so powerful that it lingers in the hearts of fans long after the episode ends.
Caribou’s Dangerous Knowledge & Koby’s Shocking Resolve

Caribou casually holding information about the Ancient Weapons is far more dangerous than it looks, and giving that knowledge to Blackbeard? That’s a disaster waiting to happen. He is on his way to meet Blackbeard, and there’s no doubt he knows everything about the Ancient Weapons — Poseidon as Shirahoshi, the Pluton warship under Wano — all of it passes through Luffy’s territory, the Straw Hats’ domains, and if Blackbeard attacks here, it’s going to lead to a direct clash: Luffy Vs Blackbeard, no questions asked.
Meanwhile, Koby steps forward with shocking resolve and says, “I have to prevent your dream from coming true.” Seriously, at this stage, does he really think he can stop Monkey D. Luffy, a Yonko? Even though Koby started with no combat or survival experience, in just a few months he mastered the basics, discovered Haki shortly after, and now, two years later, his strength has grown to a level approaching Garp — still green, but dangerously capable.
He’s a prodigy in the making, and against Luffy, he might just have the skill and resolve to stand his ground, making this clash far more intense and unpredictable than anyone could have imagined.
