Warning : This article contains spoilers for One Piece Live Action.

Netflix has finally dropped the first look for One Piece Live-Action Season 2, and honestly, the hype is through the roof! With the Grand Line story now in full swing, Season 2 promises even bigger adventures, emotional moments, and jaw-dropping visuals that will make both anime veterans and new viewers sit up and take notice. Fans who were already impressed with Season 1 can expect the stakes and excitement to be much higher this time.

Season 2 is bringing some iconic characters straight from the anime/manga into live action – Nico Robin, Smoker, Broggy, Princess Vivi, Laboon, and the long-awaited Chopper. The trailer also teased several important characters whose full reveal is yet to come, keeping fans guessing and speculating about the story arcs ahead.

Nico Robin as Miss All Sunday

One of the biggest highlights from the first look is Nico Robin in her Baroque Works identity – Miss All Sunday. The actress nails the black outfit, wide-brim hat, and that calm but mysterious smile that defines Robin’s character.

Anime fans know she’s smart, strategic, and plays a huge role in the Alabasta saga. While the trailer didn’t show much of her in action, her presence alone confirms that the story is diving deep into Baroque Works territory. The real question – will we see her betrayal and backstory in Season 2, or will Netflix save that for later?

Smoker – The Marine with Two Cigars

Smoker Live Action

Loguetown’s big reveal is none other than Smoker. Rugged look, marine coat, and of course – two cigars in his mouth at all times. The casting looks spot-on, with the perfect mix of toughness and authority. Fans got a glimpse of the iconic chase scene where Smoker goes after Luffy, and possibly the moment where Dragon steps in.

If Netflix stays true to the source material, Smoker will be a constant threat to Luffy, yet not a straightforward villain. The trailer hints at Smoker’s chase in Loguetown and potentially teasing his Marine Justice philosophy.

If the VFX team gets Smoker’s smoke powers right, these scenes will be some of the coolest in the season.

Princess Vivi as Miss Wednesday

Vivi’s introduction is always fun because she first appears undercover as Miss Wednesday. The actress captures her royal beauty while still fitting into the quirky Baroque Works disguise. Her bright blue hair perfectly matches the anime’s color tone. Even in short moments, her energy and underlying seriousness are visible.

The live-action scenes will likely show her initial deception, her partnership with Karoo the duck, and her early clashes with the Straw Hats before revealing her true royal identity. Fans are already curious if Netflix will plant early hints about her deeper role in the Alabasta conflict — a smart move for keeping binge-watchers hooked.

Broggy – The Giant from Little Garden

Brogy Live Action

From the Little Garden arc, Broggy finally makes his live-action debut. His size, armor design, and detailed beard look impressive and believable without losing the anime feel. The trailer only gave us a quick shot, but it’s clear Netflix is aiming for a mix of realism and fantasy. The production team has clearly invested in high-quality CGI to bring this proud warrior to life. Broggy’s cheerful yet fearsome personality will contrast beautifully with the Straw Hats’ journey through Little Garden.

Fans are eager to see Broggy’s friendship with Dorry and their epic fight scenes brought to life, even if slightly shortened for pacing.

Tony Tony Chopper – The Cuteness Overload

The wait is over – Chopper is finally here! Even in just a short glimpse, fans fell in love with his cuteness. The mix of practical effects and CGI makes his face expressive and his voice natural. We didn’t see his full transformation or heavy point yet, but hints suggest the Drum Island storyline promises emotional highs, especially with Chopper’s heartbreaking backstory involving Doctor Hiriluk and the iconic cherry blossom scene.

Expect Sanji and Luffy’s comedic chase scenes, Hiriluk’s tear-jerking backstory, and the unforgettable cherry blossom farewell.

Laboon – The Lovable Whale

Laboon Live Action

Reverse Mountain’s giant whale, Laboon, is here – and the CGI looks solid. His eyes already carry that emotional weight that fans remember from the anime and manga. While only briefly shown in the trailer, the real emotional punch will come when Luffy makes his promise to return. His scenes with Luffy — including the famous headbutt and the painting on his forehead — will be key emotional beats.

If Netflix nails the CGI and emotional delivery, Laboon’s story could be one of the season’s most tear-jerking moments. Fans are also looking forward to the appearance of Crocus, the lighthouse keeper and former doctor of the Pirate King, which ties beautifully into the series’ deeper lore.

Characters hinted but not yet revealed

The trailer also hinted at several other key characters who will make their debut in Season 2:

  • Dragon – Luffy’s father and Revolutionary Army leader
  • Crocus – Reverse Mountain lighthouse keeper, former Pirate King’s doctor
  • Tashigi – Smoker’s loyal subordinate
  • Alvida (new look) – Slimmer, post-Devil Fruit version
  • Igaram – Vivi’s loyal guardian
  • Baroque Works agents – Mr. 3, Mr. 5, Miss Valentine
  • Dorry the Giant – Broggy’s partner in Little Garden
  • Dr. Kureha – Chopper’s mentor
  • Wapol – Tyrant of Drum Island
  • Dalton – Drum Island’s hero
  • Hiriluk – Chopper’s father figure

Their official reveal will only add to the hype and deepen the story arcs as the Straw Hats continue their Grand Line journey. From the fearsome Baroque Works agents to the quirky yet wise Dr. Kureha, the brave Dalton. Fans can also expect fresh designs for familiar characters like Tashigi, Alvida’s new look, and Igaram, making the upcoming episodes feel richer, more colorful, and full of surprises.
